About Ignite Multisport?

Buy Into Your Training To Achieve Your Goals.

As your coach, I will work for you to develop training that you will buy into. I don’t expect you to perform the way I do, or the way any of my other
athletes perform. What is important to me is that you become a better athlete, more knowledgeable in your passion, and knock your goals out of the park because we developed a plan together that works for you!

Simple Quality Training Over Complex Heavy Volume Training.

Although longer distance endurance events require a heavy volume, it doesn’t have to be high volume all the time. I use a phased training approach. This helps my athletes better understand when and why their training is ramping up and even plan for it. There are no shortcuts, but constantly training at a high volume can be boring, invite injury, and create burnout. I believe recovery weeks and rest days are important. I will coach you to train smarter, get faster and ultimately be better, more efficient, and effective at your passion.

Training For Any Sport Should Be Fun.

I don’t mind if you join a masters swim session, want to do a group ride or run, or change out a prescribed indoor training ride for a Trainer Road ride that may “feel” more motivating or fun from time to time. Just communicate that; I will do my best to incorporate these into your plans. Knowing what we put our bodies through, training should be as fun as possible. Sure, there might be times in your training that I ask you to stick to the plan, but I appreciate the value in training with other athletes.

Training Data Analyzed.

Analyzing your data helps me figure out where your strengths are, where we have opportunities of growth and allows proper communication and feedback dialogue. I use Training Peaks to build your swim, bike and run workouts and incorporate Trainer Road and Zwift (sometimes) to accentuate the bike workouts, which all work the major platforms and devices, such as Garmin, Wahoo and Apple. I combine your fitness data with your personal feedback to create a dynamic training plan that is perfect for you.

Passion Ignites Performance.

My passion for wanting to coach athletes to be better, combined with your passion to achieve your goals’ is what I am ultimately after. The coach/athlete relationship should be a team. I’ve been in the sport of triathlon since 2006 and have been running far longer. I do know endurance sports can be daunting to undertake; I’ve been there, doubting my swim ability, worrying I’d get a flat tire on the bike, anxious about not blowing up on the run, or simply burning too many matches too soon during a race. These are all roadblocks in the way of achieving your goals. I’m here to help you through all the emotional and physical stuff while balancing it all with your life stuff!

Regardless of whether you’re just starting out, or you want to take your passion to the next level, I can help you ignite yourself! I have had many successes as an endurance athlete and coaching endurance athletes. I realize that good athletes sometimes don’t make good coaches, and good coaches are not always good athletes. But I do know that my experience can help you prepare for your races. I have qualified for Ironman 70.3 World Championships several times and USAT National Championships. I am a USAT Level I Certified Triathlon Coach, and I have continued my education in Human Performance and Kinesiology. I want to offer you my experience and my time to help you create a balanced training life with your work and home life.
